Father Tomas Krejci

Fr Tomas Krejci has a deep love of Catholic theology, liturgy and the intellectual tradition of the Church. He holds doctorates in Law, in Philosophy, and in Theology from Charles University in Prague and the University of Oxford, where he was a scholar. After beginning his training for ministry at Westcott House, Cambridge, he moved to St Stephen’s House, Oxford, and, after becoming a Catholic, continued his formation at Allen Hall, the seminary of the Archdiocese of Westminster in London.

His theological and academic interests include Anglican radical theology, the development of Catholic thought, and Catholicism in Japan. His own thinking has been particularly influenced by St John Henry Newman, Josef Pieper, Karl Rahner and Joseph Ratzinger (Pope Benedict XVI), and by their exploration of faith, reason, tradition and the encounter between the Church and the modern world.

Alongside his ministry with the Ordinariate, Fr Tomas serves the wider Catholic community in Salisbury and the surrounding pastoral area. He has a particular interest in the reverent celebration of the sacred liturgy, and regularly hears Confessions in several languages.
